The city of Bologna throws down the gauntlet to other Italian and European cities to take part in a European Cycling Challenge: a cycling contest, which will last for the whole month of May 2014. Eligible applicants include Cities, Metropolitan Areas and Districts/Boroughs with more than 50,000 inhabitants. The goal of the challenge is to encourage the inhabitants to use bicycles for commuting.
The end of the year is an ideal time to look at what we have achieved so far and at the challenges and opportunities ahead of us.
